SOLAS Aluminum Propellers

Solas manufacture an extremely high quality aluminum propeller. The secret is in using only pure aluminum and then casting it in a special process that eliminates the fine air bubbles in the finished product. In simple terms, this is accomplished by bubbling nitrous oxide through a liquid aluminum and then using a squeeze casting process to mold the propeller. The resulting prop is stronger, because it is less likely to break where there are little air bubbles. Should you have to repair a Solas, the metal moves easily and is less susceptible to cracking.

Top grade marine aluminum, provides high strength and corrosion resistance.

Patented N2 aluminum degassing process ensures the highest quality of any aluminum propeller on the market.

'Squeeze Cast' manufacturing, gives you accurate and consistent propeller geometry.

Once cast each Solas is electronically balanced, for unparalleled precision and performance.

Paint applications are to the most stringent salt water standards, for the most durable of propeller coatings.

There are no rubber bushings in Solas aluminum propellers, meaning no more spun hubs. A patented lifetime center with torsion rods in grooves, vent the shock in the event of a strike, but then lock up again, so that you can continue with your trip. A lifetime hub means lower operating costs.

The most impressive statistic of all is that the Solas aluminum propellers scored highest in top speed and highest cruise speed when compared to the top name aluminum propellers at the annual, USA, three day propeller tests.
